Rural and Scenic Tours with Local Guides


  • Brick Factory: Cambodia has many buildings and bricks are important in the construction of these buildings.  You will get to see how bricks are made and just how hard it is to make one brick. 
  •  Rice Fields: Cambodia is a major producer of rice and it is a staple food in our main dishes.  Cambodians eat rice 3 times a day, 365 days a year.  On this tour, you will bike through rice fields and your local guide will give you the insight on how rice is grown, harvested and sold.
  • Bamboo Rice Cake: Bamboo Rice Cake? Not only is Cambodia a major producer in rice, we also grow a wide range of different rices. Sticky rice is one of them and it is great for making deserts. You will get to sample a bit of bamboo rice cake while learning how it's made. 
  • Memorial Site: At this stop, you will get to experience a little bit of our history with us. Here, our tour guide will share with you the history of the Khmer Rouges and the countless lives that were lost
  • Fish Paste Making: Cambodians love fish paste!  It is cheap, widely available and comes as a condiment.  We will stop at the largest fish paste market in Battambang and you will learn about fisheries, fish and fish paste. Just a general warning, the smell can be quite overbearing for some people. 
  • Rice Paper Making: Have you every ate spring rolls and wondered how the paper is made? On this part of the tour we will show you just that! You will visit a local home and see step by step how rice paper is made.
  •  Coconut Drink: At this pit stop, you will have the opportunity to try a refreshing coconut drink or some fresh fruit. You also have the opportunity to ask any questions about what you have just learned, the countryside and about Cambodia.
